Privacy Policy
How Ajee Convert handles your files and data: files are processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded, and the site stores only your theme preference.
The short version is that your media files never leave your device. Every conversion, compression, crop and inspection on this site runs in your browser using the Web Audio API, the canvas pipeline, JavaScript font parsers and FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. There is no server-side processing, which means there is no copy of your file anywhere but on your own machine.
Files you select
When you choose or drop a file into a tool, the browser reads it from your disk into memory using the File and Blob APIs. The tool processes that data locally and creates the output as a new blob in memory, which you download directly. No file content, filename, byte count or derived technical metadata is transmitted to us or to any third party.
Because nothing is uploaded, closing the tab discards everything. Nothing persists between sessions and there is no history of what you converted.
Data stored on your device
One value is stored in your browser's localStorage: your light or dark theme preference, under the key ajeeconvert-theme. It contains the words light or dark and nothing else. Clearing site data in your browser removes it.
Analytics and advertising
Advertising is served by third-party networks, which may set their own cookies or use device identifiers to select and measure advertisements. Those networks operate under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your files, your conversion history or any personally identifying information from them.
If analytics are used, they record aggregate page views — which pages are popular and roughly where visitors come from — rather than individual behaviour linked to an identity.
Third-party code
Tools that produce FLAC, M4A, OGG or Opus audio, or convert video containers, load the FFmpeg WebAssembly engine from a public content delivery network on first use. That request reveals your IP address to the CDN in the ordinary way any web request does. The engine handles only data already in your browser's memory. The MP3 encoder library is loaded the same way when you first convert to MP3.
Children's privacy
The site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. No account, profile or personal information is collected from any visitor.
Your rights
Because no personal data is collected or stored by us, there is no profile to access, correct, export or delete. If you believe a third-party advertising network has processed your data in a way that conflicts with your local law, contact that network directly through the link in its own privacy notice.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be described in plain language rather than edited in silently.
