The terms governing use of the Ajee Convert website and its browser-based media tools, including acceptable use, intellectual property and disclaimers.
By using Ajee Convert you accept these terms. They are written to be readable rather than legally ornamental, but they are a binding agreement, so please read them before relying on the site for anything important.
Permitted use
You may use the tools on this site for personal, educational and commercial purposes, free of charge. You may process files you own or are authorised to process.
You may not use the site to process material you do not have the right to use, including content protected by copyright, technical protection measures or a service's terms of use. Because processing happens in your browser, responsibility for the material you choose to process rests entirely with you.
No warranty
The tools are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Conversions are performed by browser engines and WebAssembly libraries whose behaviour depends on your device, operating system and browser version.
Always keep your original files. This site never modifies your source files, but a conversion may produce an output that does not meet your expectations, and it remains your responsibility to verify any result before relying on it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ajee Convert and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site or its tools. This includes lost data, lost time, lost revenue and damage to files or devices.
Accuracy of information
Technical explanations, format guidance and calculator results are provided for general informational purposes. Encoding behaviour, platform requirements and specification limits change over time; always confirm delivery requirements against the official specification of the platform or standard you are targeting.
Intellectual property
The text, design, layout and source code of this site are the property of its operators and are protected by copyright. You may not republish substantial portions of the site, including its tool explanations, without prior written permission.
Fonts, media files and other material you process with the tools remain entirely yours. We claim no rights over any file you use with this site — indeed, we never receive a copy of it.
Third-party components
Some functionality relies on open-source components, including FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly and the LAME MP3 encoder. Those components are used under their own licences, which are unaffected by these terms.
Advertising
The site displays advertising in clearly marked spaces. Third-party advertising networks operate under their own terms and policies. Advertisements are never positioned to overlap, obscure or imitate a control, a result or a download button.
Changes
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing law
Any dispute arising from the use of this site is governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
